Vocalist and songwriter Gabrielle Stravelli blends musical traditions with a modern, genre-bending sensibility. The rhythmic swing of jazz frames her original compositions while as an actor and storyteller she reinterprets The Great American Songbook as well as works by contemporary artists as varied as Willie Nelson, Chick Corea and John Fogerty. Unexpected, highly individual choices are her trademark.

Michael Kanan hails from Boston, Massachusetts where he first began to play the piano at age 7. After graduating college and doing some freelance work around Boston, he moved to New York in 1991 to study with another Tristano student, the pianist Sal Mosca. He established himself in New York, playing and recording with Kurt Rosenwinkel, Mark Turner, and Jorge Rossy, among others. He also developed a growing reputation as a vocal accompanist. In 1996, he joined the band of legendary singer Jimmy Scott, touring the US, Europe, and Japan and recording 4 CDs. In 2001, Michael became the accompanist and arranger for one of today's most celebrated vocalists, Jane Monheit. With Ms. Monheit's group, he has toured all over the world, recorded several CDs and DVDs, and made many TV appearances, including The David Letterman Show and The Conan O'Brien Show.

Jesse Breheney is a native of the city of Newburgh, NY in the Hudson Valley. He began playing bass at an early age and working professionally in high school. He's a graduate of the Eastman School of Music and the Juilliard pre-college division where he studied jazz and orchestral music. Jesse has been based in NYC since 2008 and now lives in Washington Heights with his wife and twin daughters.

   With a musical style that is deeply rooted in the swinging tradition of artists like Oscar Peterson, Miles Davis and Frank Sinatra his music brings life to the American Songbook and other jazz classics. Through music, Jesse and the musicians that accompany him push positive energy into the room's atmosphere that always gets people tapping their feet. He can be found performing regularly at notable NYC clubs including but not limited to, Mezzrow, Ornithology, Smoke, Little Branch and St. Tuesday.

   In addition to music, Jesse has a marketing background and a decade of experience as a partner in a boutique digital advertising agency, AD Lubow (now Breheney Media) that focuses on clients in the Performing Arts and Education industry. He also books live entertainment for the Hospitality industry and for private events through the collective In Four Jazz.

   Through the In Four Jazz collective and as a performer he has been a key player in many ongoing music series at NYC establishments including Docks Oyster Bar, Sarabeth’s Restaurants, Jane, Little Branch Bar, Weather Up, Eventi Hotel, Toy (at Gansevoort Hotel), St Tuesday (at Walker Hotel) Lambs Club (Chippawa hotel) the Ned Nomad (soho house) and many more.

Billy Mintz.png

At 15, Billy Mintz was developing his musicianship with show bands at Catskills  resorts. He has performed for many years as part of numerous ensembles, both in New York and Los Angeles. Mr. Mintz has written two books: Different Drummers (AMSCO Music Publishing) and Advanced Sticking and Sight-Reading (BM Publications). His articles have been published in Not Just Jazz and Modern Drummer magazines.

In recent years he has taken on new roles as composer and bandleader. He leads the Billy Mintz Band and the Two Bass Band, a ten-piece ensemble that features his compositions and arrangements. As a soloist, he has performed throughout the U.S. and internationally.
