GivingTuesday is a global day of generosity that will take place on Tuesday, December 3, 2024.

GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past nine years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.

This season, we are celebrating by offering discounted tickets for the two upcoming concerts! $5 off if purchased before December 4th.

Dear Friends of Chamber Music,

This holiday season finds Newburgh Chamber Music in the midst of its 24th season, which opened on November 3rd with a family-friendly concert featuring Chamber Musicians of the Hudson Valley Symphony Orchestra. The New Year brings two additional performances, starting with Continental Connections, performed by Parthenia Viol Consort on Sunday March 30th.  The early-music curious are invited to join in "Gamba Faire" before the concert, where Parthenia demonstrates and gives mini lessons - bring your own instrument, or a try out a provided Gamba instrument. On Friday April 25th, the Dali Quartet, Chamber Music America's 2024 Ensemble of the Year, will lead a master class with Middletown High School's chamber orchestra followed by a dynamic program including Arriaga, Piazzolla and Mendelssohn.

Newburgh Chamber Music remains committed to presenting a rich classical and contemporary repertoire to lovers of live music here in Newburgh and the Hudson Valley. Inviting student groups for Master Classes marks an expansion of our commitment by introducing talented young musicians to the timeless art of chamber music.  Last season students from Monroe-Woodbury and Warwick Valley high schools participated in master classes with our world class guest artists, and that continues this season with students from Middletown High School.

Your support has never been more vital and appreciated. Donations help us bring great artists to Newburgh, and support students who could not otherwise attend. We hope you will join us at our upcoming performances, and include Newburgh Chamber Music in your giving this season.

For this season of giving we also have a special gift to you - enjoy $5 off every ticket purchased between now and the end of Giving Tuesday, which is December 3rd.  And speaking of gifts ... a generous anonymous donor has agreed to match the first $1,000 Newburgh Chamber Music receives on Giving Tuesday, please help us meet this goal.

On behalf of our Board of Directors and Advisors, I thank you for your support and generosity!

With warmest regards,

Carole Cowan, President

Newburgh Chamber Music

Thank you for your support
